The website dashboard
What you can do in a browser, and who is allowed to.
arklynn.xyz/dashboard is the bot's settings as web pages. It is not a copy of them: the browser holds no configuration of its own, it asks the bot and the bot answers. So a setting changed here and one changed by command end up in the same place, and the page cannot show you something the bot does not actually have.
Getting in
- 1Go to arklynn.xyz/dashboard and sign in with Discord. Arklynn asks for your identity and your server list, nothing else - it never asks for a token or a password.
- 2You see the servers you share with the bot. Servers where you have Manage Server can be configured; the others are listed so you can reach the things that belong to you personally.
- 3Pick a server. The modules are down the left, grouped into Tools and Settings.
If you are a bot owner, there is a switch between owner mode and user mode. Owner mode lists every server; user mode lists only yours. It exists because seeing all of them is useful roughly once a month and in the way the rest of the time.
What is in there
Tools
| Page | What it does | Who can use it |
|---|---|---|
Embed Editor | Build a message or a panel with a live preview, then send it to a channel. Also the only place that shows you what an embed will look like before it exists. | Manage Server |
My Voice Channel | Lock, hide, rename and resize the voice channel you are sitting in. Same actions as the /voice commands. | Whoever owns the channel |
Tickets | The tickets on the server, and a builder for the panel people open them from. | Everyone sees their own; staff see all |
Settings
Anti-Nuke, Welcome, Leave, Booster, Leveling, Autoroles, Logs, Verification, Tickets, Invite Tracking, Server Stats, Giveaways, Birthdays, Counting, Starboard and VoiceMaster. Each one is the same options its commands have, as a form. Several also have buttons for the things that are actions rather than settings - save a backup now, send a test welcome, refresh the stat channels, start a giveaway.
Who sees what
This matters more than it looks, so it is worth being exact about it. The website never decides who may see something - it asks the bot, and the bot decides next to the data using your actual Discord roles at that moment.
- Configuring a module needs Manage Server on that server. Being a bot owner also works.
- The ticket list shows staff (Administrator
- or one of the server's support roles) every ticket
- and everybody else only the ones they opened or were added to. The others are not hidden from the page - they are never built.
- Nobody sees ticket messages on the website. Only numbers
- names and timestamps. Reading a ticket means opening its channel in Discord.
- Voice controls reach one channel: the one you are in and own. Reaching somebody else's is not refused
- it is not expressible.
- Somebody who is not in the server is told only that. Not whether the server exists
- not how many tickets it has.
Losing Manage Server takes your access away immediately, not at the next login. The check runs on every request, against your roles as they are, because a cached "yes" is a door that stays open after somebody has been removed.
